Good to know
How do I convert SRT to VTT?
Open or paste the SRT file, choose VTT, and download. The converter adds the WEBVTT header and converts timing punctuation. Choose SRT to convert in the other direction.
Can I remove timestamps from a transcript?
Yes. Choose Text to keep the spoken words without cue numbers or timing lines. You can keep timestamps or combine nearby cues into readable paragraphs. Speaker names in WebVTT voice tags are retained.
Are styling and positions preserved?
No. This tool creates text-only subtitles, preserving words and cue times. It removes styling, cue settings, regions and metadata. Review the preview before replacing your subtitle file.
Does it transcribe video or translate subtitles?
It converts existing subtitle files only. It does not generate or translate speech. Files and pasted text stay on this device, with a 2 MB input limit.
