    Add the interview recordings.

    Import the local files into Library and let Focus analyze their speech. Searchable transcript results require transcription for those videos.

    Search the words or the idea.

    Open Search. Choose All transcripts when you know the spoken words. Choose Dialogue when you remember the subject but not the exact wording, then enter a short phrase.

    Listen around each match.

    Open a result and play before and after the timestamp. Search narrows the candidates; the surrounding answer tells you whether the line is useful.

    Save the passage you want.

    Use Save as Select on the checked result. You can collect other answers and arrange the useful ranges later in a Sequence.

Common questions

What if I remember the idea but not the quote?

Start with Dialogue and describe the topic in a short phrase. Open likely results and check what was actually said.

Can I search many interviews at once?

Yes. Search runs across indexed videos in the current Library scope. Files without speech analysis may need indexing before transcript search can find them.

Does Focus choose the final sound bite?

No. It returns candidates with source context. You choose and save the passage that serves your edit.
