Find and review source clips in Focus, save them as Selects, and arrange them in a Sequence. In Deliver, choose Edited sequence → Export Premiere XML. Import the XML in Premiere Pro and relink the original media if needed.

    Find and check the moments.

    Use Search to find dialogue or visuals. Open each result in its source and check the in and out points before you keep it.

    Save the useful ranges.

    Use Save as Select on reviewed moments. Your choices stay linked to their source files and source timecodes.

    Build and review a Sequence.

    Add the Selects to a Sequence, arrange their order, and watch the assembled result in Focus. Make a quick correction before handoff if needed.

    Export Premiere XML.

    Open Deliver, choose Edited sequence, then Export Premiere XML. Import the XML in Premiere Pro and reconnect any source media it cannot find automatically.

Before the handoff

Does XML include my original video files?

No. It references the source media. Keep those files available and relink them in Premiere Pro if its import asks you to.

Can I change the edit after importing?

Yes. The purpose of the XML handoff is to continue editing the timeline in Premiere Pro. Review the imported sequence before finishing.

What if I just need a finished video?

Use a video export from Focus instead of the XML handoff. XML is for continuing an edit in another application.
