Offline search and a standalone app are available in both products. Jumper offers search plugins for Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Avid. Focus uses a standalone workspace to review sources, save Selects, build Sequences, and export to Premiere, Final Cut, or Resolve. Jumper currently lists people search as a Pro feature.

02

Build an ordered sequence

Arrange and trim selected moments in Focus before exporting to your editor. Sequences and editor handoff require Pro or the trial.

03

Focus et Jumper : réponses rapides

Check the analysis, source access, and editor steps each task needs.

Do both tools search video footage offline?

Yes, with local models installed and footage already analyzed. Both also keep searchable analysis for disconnected source drives. Searching the index does not make a missing original playable. Reconnect the source to check or export it.

Does Jumper include people search?

Jumper currently lists face detection and people search as Pro features. Its standalone app is included with every license; that does not make every analysis feature available on every plan. Both tools require analysis before person search and allow users to name detected people.

Which AI video search workflow fits an editor?

Use Jumper if you want its search panel inside a supported editor and direct timeline insertion. Try Focus if you want to review source moments, save Selects, and arrange Sequences in a standalone app before exporting editor files. Compare one complete search-to-import task with your footage. No speed or accuracy advantage is claimed here.

Compare one complete task with your footage

Use the same clips and verify the source results in both tools.

01

Use a small real project

Choose clips with a known person, a distinct shot, and a spoken line. Enable the analysis each search needs.

02

Check the original matches

Search in each tool, play the source at the result time, and record missed or incorrect matches. Reconnect missing originals.

03

Complete an editor handoff

Save a few ranges, put them in order, and import them into your editor. Compare the steps you need, not just the first search result.

Try Focus with up to 30 videos

Check a person match or an offline search, then try sending a few moments to your editor.
